An eye-opening comedy on the abolition of sleep.
A young woman abandons her sedate lifestyle to experiment with a sleep-
eliminating miracle drug called “Insomnia Patch,” despite side-effects of
promiscuity, back strain, and biting.   This show premiered in Bucharest at the
Teatrul de Comedie in 2008.  The Austin cast includes Tracy Medberry, Kacey
Samiee, Joshua Meindertsma, Gail Hebert, Phil Rodriguez, Brett Tribe and
Kate Caldwell.  Live music provided by Jonathan Hoyle, Michael Walters, and
Chris LaCava.

Insomnia is directed by John Cecil and produced by Crank Collective, who
staged Epidemic of Fear in 2009 at the Salvage Vanguard.  Insomnia is a
sponsored project of the Greater Austin Creative Alliance, a non-profit arts
service organization, working to advance, connect and celebrate Austin's
creative life. Insomnia is funded and supported in part by the City of Austin
through the Cultural Arts Division.
